Meet You at the SummitPacific Development hopes to end up on top with Rundle Place launch and campaign that The Kingdom created.
The countdown to the first day of school has begun in earnest, and that means students and their parents are hitting the shops to look for new outfits and supplies. At Pickering Town Centre (PTC), though, kids are also fighting for a prime locker.
The Canadian mall put six of them in the center court for its “Rock the Lock” contest. There are three for boys and three for girls, and all of them will be packed daily with prizes and gift certificates valued at $50 or more. To grab one of the 26 goodies inside and get a chance to win one of the grand prizes (Justin Bieber concert tickets or an iPad 3), participants will have to text “LOCKERG” or “LOCKERB” to the competition line, obtain a combination and use it on a locker at the mall.
Nine of the center’s retailers have pitched in with prizes for the contest, whose draw PTC will use to jack up participation in a school supply drive it is running in partnership with United Way. The afternoon live remote happening on August 18 with the KISS 92.5 radio station should also help increase traffic numbers.
Shoppers can drop off their donations in a giant backpack located next to the back-to-school lockers until the contest ends on August 22.
