This article, as a consumer, helped to explain much of what I've seen recently. Just as you reported, I would make trips to Target merely for that chance to stock up on Ito En 2 liter bottles. When they were available, an out of the way trip to Target wasn't unusual, as I appreciated the unique product availability they offered, even beyond the tea aisle, often coming home with a new dvd sharing the bag. This one change has left me out in the cold. I no longer frequent their store, instead opting to brew my own tea bought from my local grocery, as it is the closest facsimile. I know I'm just one shopper, but I'm one shopper that now looks elsewhere.
